In recent years, Lower Deeside – including Cults, Bieldside, Milltimber, and Peterculter – has lost all of its local bank branches.

The nearest banks are now at Queen's Cross, but for many residents – especially older people or those without access to a car – that journey simply isn’t feasible.

Local businesses and residents alike have told me they still rely on in-person banking services. That is why there is growing demand for a banking hub in Lower Deeside.

​

LINK, the organisation responsible for making these hubs happen, has so far refused to act. I’m in ongoing dialogue with them, but I need to demonstrate the strength of local support.
